Need more training for receptionists about how to relate to people with additional needs. Receptionists could be more flexible and show some level of empathy. Receptionists could show some understanding of the challenges that working carers face in trying to meet their caring responsibilities.

I find the administrative staff to be extremely helpful. I often choose to see the Nurse Practitioner instead of a GP as she is competent to deal with all health issues and provides excellent care. She seems able to give extra time to talk when needed. I have mostly positive experience of GP consultations also. I moved into Sherburn a few years ago and this is the best GP service in my experience. Many aspects of the service and care are excellent.

There are some fantastic doctors and midwives at this practice. I felt I have always been treated with care and compassion. It can be quite difficult to book an appointment in advance but always easy to get an emergency appointment on the day- this does make it harder to see the same GP and care aften gets spread across a few of the doctors rather than the continuity of one. I have always been happy though and found all of the GP's easy to talk to.

It's a clean, friendly practice, with helpful, caring staff (clinical, clerical & domestic) there is ample parking. I would not hesitate to recommend Sherburn Group Practice. Only negative I would say is, I do not like the new automated service for booking, checking, cancelling appointments, I find it too long winded & not very user friendly. Suggestions I would make would be a designated telephone number for making a request for a home visit, an additional check-in screen in the downstairs waiting room & if the GP's could be allocated slightly more time per patient per appointment which would hopefully allow them to run more to time but I appreciate the practices hands could be somewhat tied with this one.

I love the online booking facility and repeat prescription ordering, I am impressed that medication is delivered to our village upon request. It is also wonderful facility that we can have a Dr visit the village twice a week surgeries.
